Mid-Week Mantra: Unplug

Being connected. It's a necessity. I'm sure I am not alone in having an uncomfortable feeling of a lost appendage when I leave my phone at home. It's how we organize, plan, call, text, keep in touch, share, communicate. But how much do we love it when we disconnect for a few days? Even a few hours? Here are some quick tips to help you unplug from the virtual world and plug in to the world in front of you:

  • Put away your phone when you are having a conversation with someone in person
  • Put it on silent (all the way silent, now; no vibrating - that's cheating!) when you are with friends and relatives so you can be fully present; it makes others feel good
  • Turn it off for some time each day so that you have "down time" - time when you're not working and when you can't be interrupted by a text notification (bonus: this is good for your phone, too!)
Pick your head up and enjoy your world!

Inspire.Motivate. Move.
